5 NATURAL WAYS TO TREAT DRY HAIR

Dry hair does not absorb or retain enough moisture to keep its texture and brightness, so it may look lack luster and be fragile and brittle. Although it may look unhealthy, most of the time, it is unlikely to be a health problem that causes dry hair. Dry hair develops when your hair doesn’t get or retain enough moisture. This reduces its sheen and can make it appear frizzy and dull. Your hair consists of three layers. If your hair is healthy, natural oils in the outer layer help protect the inner layers. They also reflect light, making your hair appear shiny. Sheen and luster are two important signs of healthy hair.

Dry hair can be caused by factors, including:

  • nutritional deficiencies
  • excessive sun exposure
  • contact with chlorinated water
  • excessive hair wash
  • use of styling products and tools
  • use of harsh hair products
  • frequently swimming in chlorinated or salty water


NATURAL WAYS TO TREAT DRY HAIR 

  1. Avocado Paste :- The avocado fruit is rich in vitamins A and E, saturated fats, and minerals, which all nourish damaged and dry hair, helping to moisturize and strengthen it. Mash a ripe and  peeled avocado with one egg and apply the mixture to wet hair for 20 minutes. Then rinse the hairs.
  2. Aloe Vera Gel :- There are many benefits of Aloe Vera Gel. Aloe Vera can nourish your scalp with amino acids, vitamins, sugars, and fatty acids. It has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties as well that could eliminate any infection and reduce dryness of the scalp. Extract fresh Aloe Vera gel from the leaf and apply on the scalp and hair then leave for 20 minutes. Then rinse your hair as usual.
  3. Yogurt :- Yogurt soothes the scalp and contains Lactobacillus that helps in restoring the skin barrier . This, in turn, helps eliminate dryness and do treatment of dandruff. The high protein content of eggs nourishes the scalp and reduces dryness. Beat the egg along with the yogurt to get a smooth paste. Add honey into the paste , apply paste on your scalp and hair. Let it sit for half an hour and then wash it off with your regular shampoo. Use this paste once a week to treat your dry hair.
  4. Apple cider vinegar :- There are many benefits of apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar exhibits antimicrobial properties. It is also thought to balance the scalp’s ph. This, in turn, may help restore the normal functioning of the oil glands and can provide relief from a dry scalp. Mix apple cider vinegar and water apply this solution on the scalp and hair with the help of cotton balls or spray bottle. Massage the scalp for 2-3 minutes then leave for 10-15 minutes. After this wash your hair cold water.
  5. Beer :- Beer contains a protein that helps to repair the hair cuticles, making the hair smooth and shiny. If someone shampoos their hair as usual and then sprays on some drops of beer, allowing it to dry naturally, it will work as a good conditioner without leaving any smell on the hair.
